ARK Architects Attends “Spain, Cradle of Conscious Luxury” at the Rosewood Villa Magna Hotel

On June 13th, ARK Architects had the privilege of attending the event “Spain, Cradle of Conscious Luxury: Positioning and Expansion of the Spanish Brand”, organized by Cambio16 at the iconic Rosewood Villa Magna Hotel in Madrid. This multi-sector gathering brought together key players from the worlds of luxury, sustainability, technology, craftsmanship, and culture, all with a shared mission: to define the roadmap for a new paradigm of 21st-century luxury and to strengthen Spain’s position as an international benchmark for conscious luxury.

A Purpose-Driven Concept of Luxury

This event marked the official launch of a new identity for Spanish luxury—one that goes beyond material goods to embrace cultural roots, authenticity, wellbeing, sustainability, and the beauty of the natural world. As Jorge Neri, CEO of Cambio16, stated, conscious luxury “is a shift in awareness that harmonizes excellence with responsibility, economic growth with social wellbeing, and respect for nature.”

At ARK Architects, we fully align with this vision. Our architecture emerges from the dialogue between people, nature, and art. We design unique spaces that not only meet the highest standards of quality and aesthetics but also foster a deep, transformative connection with their surroundings.

A Symbolic Start and Collective Reflection

The event began in a unique and introspective way—with a guided meditation in darkness and silence. This opening invited attendees to fully engage their senses and connect with the deeper purpose of the gathering. Highlights included a performance of Merina: The Show by Oteyza, and a thought-provoking conversation between Evelio Acevedo (Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum) and Andrés Pan de Soraluce (ACCIONA Living & Culture), which emphasized a form of luxury that doesn’t need to show off—because it speaks through truth, legacy, and culture.

Dialogue, Sustainability, and Excellence

A panel discussion on the luxury sector’s transformation—moderated by Beatriz Carranza and featuring experts such as Ana de la Cueva (National Heritage), María Eugenia Girón (Oceana), and Elena González-Blanco (Microsoft)—underscored a key idea: the future of luxury lies in a virtuous triangle of technology, craftsmanship, and sustainability. This synergy also reflects Ark’s philosophy: fusing innovation and tradition to create projects where design, energy efficiency, and cultural respect coexist in perfect harmony.

Conscious Luxury: A Shared Narrative

Our participation in this event reaffirms ARK Architects’ commitment to architecture that goes beyond visual beauty. We believe in a serene, rooted, and transformative luxury, where each project contributes to a larger story—one in which Spain champions quality, sustainable excellence, and the power of authenticity.

We are proud to be part of this movement led by Cambio16, which not only redefines luxury, but aligns it with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), turning it into a driving force for positive impact—for people and for the planet.
